Case Study - Barnet

ABEngineers provided planning and structural design services for a residential extension project in Barnet.

The development comprised a ground floor and lower ground floor rear extension together with the formation of a roof terrace incorporating a privacy screen and balustrade. External works also included a new rear patio area with associated access steps.

Our involvement included the preparation of planning drawings and supporting design information to assist with the planning application process, together with the structural design and engineering calculations required for the proposed works.

The structural engineering package included the design of load-bearing elements, steel beam calculations, foundation design guidance and preparation of structural information to support the Building Regulations approval process.

By providing both planning and structural design services, ABEngineers helped streamline the project from the initial concept stage through to the technical design phase, ensuring a coordinated and efficient design process.
